Indian Hand Knocker
The handles are in the ‘Dokra’ tradition of craft. Dokra is a 1000 year old tradition of lost wax casting, intergenerational that needs to be supported.
The artisans gather the wax from wild bee hives, use rice husk blended with river clay for the casting etc.
The result is a very honest and appealing product.
We hope to be part of bringing awareness of the peoples plight which is dire through representing them.
This is an amazing story!
